How to Find Profitable Niche Markets and Low Competition Keywords

April 24th, 2011 by Software Rave | Comments Off | Filed in Internet Business

It is very important you learn and master how to find profitable niche markets and low competition keywords to target when building websites and blogs. That is the only way you can easily dominate niche markets and consistently make money online. There is more than one method of scooping niche markets ideas online but I will walk you through the most effective methods in this article and more in subsequent articles and in our free newsletter here.

You will agree with me that people who come to search for information on the internet want solutions or answers to their problems, needs and wants. Some may also want to gain knowledge in a specific field or market by reading up articles from the comfort of their homes.

Now if you can come up with as many “discovery keywords” list as possible which these information seekers are using to find what they want, you are half way into finding profitable niche markets as well as low competition keyword phrases.

You should be aware that majority of surfers use the search engines to find information online. When finding niche markets we can also use keyword research tools, whether it is the Google free keyword tool external or the awesome niche finder software, to know which markets these surfers have vested interest in based on the keywords they use. From there we will investigate further to determine if the search term is profitable or not.

Let’s get cracking on the basics or steps you should follow right away.

I am going to use Google free tool for this exercise. I highly recommend Niche Finder Software keyword research tool if you want lots of profitable niche markets to target in less time and efforts.

Let’s assume I don’t have any niche market idea in mind as I am conducting this market research. So I am going to come up with a number of discovery keyword phrases to start investigating which of the market(s) pick(s) my interest.

Some of these discovery search phrase include:

-how to remove

-how to repair

-how to fix

-where to buy/purchase/order

-etc

As long as you are creative, you can quickly come up with a variety of such search phrases especially when you think like an information seeker. But let me feed in the “how to remove” into the search field provided by Google and see what terms come up.

The result I got can be seen in the partial screenshot below. What is the search terms people are using to find the kind of information they are looking for?

Google Keyword Tool External

Malware removal tool. The “malware” market.

Tattoo removal cream. The “tattoo” market.

How to remove blackhead. The “acne” market.

I think you are getting the drift from the above system of finding niche markets? It is as simple as you can think of!

If you have never heard of these markets before, the next task will be to first read up some articles on each of the topics to determine whether it is a market that you will be interested in.

You can also use the Google tool to know if it is a high paying niche by looking up the CPC (cost per click) or simply type your main keyword into Spyfu.com to view the average CPC.

Here is how to find profitable niche markets and low competition keyword phrases from this exercise. Select one of the search terms e.g. “malware removal tool”. We want to investigate one of the markets displayed by the research tool, i.e. the malware market and nothing else.

Quick Note: You can scan your computer or laptop for spyware and malware solutions by clicking here.

Copy and paste the keyword phrase back into Google search field. First, let us select the “search phrase match” option and then click the search button. I want results that include as many terms with the “spyware” keyword in there. The search volume you get for each phrase will tell you if the market is thin or large.

The next task is to check for any “buyer keywords” in the result. These are search phrases that will easily convert to sales for you when you provide content to your web site visitors.

Remember that your major goal is to provide rich, unique and quality articles content to your readers who want to get informed on a subject. Behind that you also want to make money where there is an opportunity to recommend a product or service that compliments your website content and adds value to your web visitors’ experience. Using buyer keywords is the easiest way to achieve that goal.

You can see that by conducting keyword research using tools and software, you are able to find niche markets as well. Your next exercise will be to check each of the selected phrases in the Google search engine to determine if lots of webmasters are targeting it and their authority in terms of page rank and backlinks.

How you will go about it is quite simple. Pick each of the search term and type it into Google.com within quotes as in the example below.

“malware removal tool”

What I am concerned about right now is the authority of each of the websites on the first page of Google for each of the search phrases. If there are 3 or more websites (especially on the first 3 positions) with page rank 4 and above, I will simply jettison that particular phrase.

On the other hand, a search term will pick my interest if web sites with page rank 3 or less are on the first page of Google’s natural search engine results page (SERP) targeting the keyword. I will only make sure that not more than 5000 websites are targeting the search phrase within quotes. This will give me the confidence or assurance that I can easily rank for the phrase in a relatively short period of time by building backlinks to my internal web pages.

Yes, I know surfers don’t use quotes when searching for information online. So why should I use keyword within quotes to conduct my market competition research? Well remember I am working from the angle of a webmaster vis-à-vis my competitors NOT a surfer this time around.

I want to know how many web masters and internet marketers are laser targeting each of the search term. I am not concerned at the moment with other webmasters who randomly mentioned the keyword phrase on the pages of their website content in no particular order.

As you can see from the above analysis, it is not difficult to know how to find profitable niche markets and low competition keywords as explained above. The only downside with this method is that it is time consuming and cumbersome if you are using the free tools available online.

What if you are going to be working full time on the internet, you want to work in as many niches as possible and make full time income as well? I bet you will certainly face a dose of stress and boredom that will be too much for you to bear!

That is why using Brad Callen’s Niche Finder Software is the best investment you can think of right away aside the time you will dedicate to your online business ventures.

Now that you know how to find profitable niche markets and low competition keywords, go ahead and watch the videos here and here.

First Steps to the Best Internet Business to Start Now

July 9th, 2010 by Software Rave | Comments Off | Filed in Internet Business

Many entrepreneurs are searching for the best internet business to start now and quickly make money online. I have discussed it in this article and highlighted the best way to maximize your ROI (return on investment) on this business opportunity.

For some time now, I have been doing my own due diligence on various ways to make passive income online without breaking the bank and the internet business will be easily scalable too. Among the criteria I used include:

Does the online business earn income as soon as it is started?

Does the business opportunity offer one the privilege to expand through outsourcing and thereby making more money online?

What is the profit potentials like?

Are there clear advantages of choosing the business opportunity over other ventures?

From my own investigation and research, I came to the conclusion that websites flipping is the best internet business to start right now. This is informed by a number of reasons.

Websites flipping uses all of the other business models as its foundation to build income streams. When a site flipper builds a website to sell, he will monetize it with affiliate marketing products, Adsense adverts, CPA offers or personally created products.

For example, if a site flipper builds a website in a good niche market with unique design, quality and original content, drives targeted traffic and makes consistent net profits over time, he can quickly sell it at a reasonable price. The selling price could be times three, five, ten or twelve months earnings from the website.

Site flipping will remain the most preferred internet business opportunity for any discerning entrepreneur. You can watch a video on how to flip websites for profit below.

If you have watched the above video, you will agree with me that buying and selling websites is the best internet business to start now.
